Enchanted Palace

Kensington Palace is transformed.

As collaboration between Kensington palace and Wimbledon College of Art the third year students on the Costume Interpretation and Costume Design course made costumes inspired by the palace and shown on the 30th of April 2010 as part of the Enchanted Palace exhibition.

The costume was made complete with an under structure of crinoline steel with the wings made of bamboo and latex coated lycra. The ears were made of plastizote and rinoflex covered in to same material as the wings.

The costume was finished off with ballet tights, a shirt and waistcoat, a tailored jacket and broken down and worked into to give it character and make it look old and dusty.
