In February 2006 I moved to London but after almost 5 years of studies and work I returned to Gothenburg, having completed a BA (Hons) in Theatre: Costume Interpretation at Wimbledon College of Art (University of The Arts London).
The degree course specialised in costume making for both stage and screen. It involved learning a broad range of skills, including pattern cutting, dressmaking, tailoring, dyeing, printing, breaking down and millinery. It has also given me an understanding of make-up artistry, wig making and special effects e.g. mask making, prosthetics etc., as well as what it is like to work on set in the film industry and backstage in the theatre.
Post degree I have started up my own business freelancing as a costume maker for numerous clients and projects. In January 2011 I returned to London for a few weeks to work with The London Childrens Ballet and at the moment I'm working for the Opera house in Gothenburg (GöteborgsOperan).
